Festive spirit extended for Midlothian Foodbank

Christmas may be over but some festive spirit was extended to Midlothian Foodbank at Rosslyn Chapel today.

For the second year, special collections taken at Rosslyn Chapel’s Christmas services have raised funds for Midlothian Foodbank. Cheques were presented totalling £1,275, which was an increase on last year’s donation of £1,250.

Collections were taken at the end of the ‘Christmas by Candlelight’ evening, organised by Rosslyn Chapel Trust and St Matthew’s congregation, and at Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Eucharist, organised by the congregation.

Cheques were given by Rev. Joe Roulston, Priest-in-Charge, and Ian Gardner, Director of Rosslyn Chapel Trust to Janice Burns, Midlothian Foodbank Manager, at the Chapel.
