Yesterday was a big day for the Chapel, as we welcomed Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Rothesay and other guests to a special service and celebration marking the opening of our new visitor centre, and also the official completion of the conservation project.
The sun was out and so were our Junior Guides from Roslin Primary, who formed a colourful guard of honour greeting guests as they arrived.
Inside the Chapel Rev. Joe Roulston led the service, and the National Boys Choir performed The Rosslyn Pslam composed by Howard Goodall and commissioned by the Countess of Rosslyn in honour of the occasion.
The service was followed by tea and tasty treats, which were served inside the vistor centre while Her Royal Highness chatted with guests, and the Junior Guides marvelled at the Lord Lieutenant's regalia and shiny sword!
Celebrations concluded with the unveiling of a plaque and a fitting speech delivered by the Earl of Rosslyn. Thank you to everyone who helped to make it a really special day.
