Coffee shop award for Chapel

Rosslyn Chapel’s Coffee Shop has won the ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ category at the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce Food and Drink Awards for 2022. The ceremony was held at Eskmills in Musselburgh.

In the category, judges were looking for an outstanding level of customer service with evidence of continuous staff training and customer feedback processes. The other shortlisted premises were the Bistro at the Brunton, The Gorebridge Beacon, Itihaas and the Old Colliery at Shawfair Business Park.

Rosslyn Chapel’s Coffee Shop is located within the visitor centre and has an outdoor terrace with spectacular views overlooking Roslin Glen. Run by Saltire Hospitality Ltd, it provides a selection of freshly prepared soup, rolls and paninis, as well as a delicious range of scones, cakes and pastries. David Peters, Managing Director of Saltire Hospitality, said: ‘Providing excellence in customer service is at the heart of Saltire Hospitality and I am delighted that the Coffee Shop team at Rosslyn Chapel have been recognised with this important award.
