Sorry folks, it has been quite a wee while since our last news item – we were having a few hiccups with our website, thankfully all fixed now though. Hopefully you have been keeping up to speed with Chapel goings-on via our twitter and facebook pages…in fact, celebrity author Dan Brown has just started following us on twitter – most exciting!
For a quick summary of all the fun we have been having here over the festive period, do take a look at this news in pictures round-up – you might even spot yourself in a snap or two!
So far this month, the big stories are (drum roll): the return of the Junior Guides – who were back in the Chapel last Thursday for their first performance of 2013….they gave a sterling performance to no less than 54 pupils from Lasswade Primary (well done guys!); and of course the arrival of our latest work experience pupil, Danielle Crawford, from Beeslack High – you can read her Chapel blog on our Learning website.
Other than that, the Chapel has been looking very picturesque with a dusting of snow since last Thursday… though it is a wee bit cold (even the gargoyles are looking chilly). But not to worry, this weekend (26th/27th Jan) our coffee shop will be hosting a Winter Warming Waffle Extravaganza (hooray!). All wintery blues will be banished by Aimee’s famous Belgian-style waffles – perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle and served with a range of scrumptious toppings and delicious home made sticky toffee sauce …..yum!! It’s only on this weekend, so wrap up warm and head on down. Hope to see you there.
