More expo-sure for Chapel at major tourism event

Rosslyn Chapel was one of over 200 exhibitors at the major tourism event, VisitScotland Expo, held recently in Aberdeen.

The event attracted tour operators and travel managers from all over the world, with interest in visiting the Chapel coming from tour operators in Europe, USA, Russia, China, India and UK. The Chapel was part of the area in the show dedicated to ‘Scotland’s Heritage’, which included Historic Scotland, the National Trust for Scotland, and Historic Houses Association.

Also among those visiting the Chapel’s stand was Mike Cantlay, Chairman of VisitScotland, pictured right, with Ian Gardner, Director of Rosslyn Chapel Trust. He said ‘Being at VisitScotland Expo gave us a great opportunity to renew and create contacts with tour operators from all over the world and update them on the experience we offer at Rosslyn Chapel. Scotland’s built and natural heritage have a huge appeal for visitors and so being part of this ‘Scotland’s Heritage’ area, along with representatives from other leading heritage organisations across the country, provided an ideal – and very busy – platform for us.’
