Christmas collections support Midlothian Foodbank

Special collections taken at Rosslyn Chapel’s Christmas services have raised £1,250 for Midlothian Foodbank.

Collections were taken at the end of the ‘Christmas by Candlelight’ evening, organised by Rosslyn Chapel Trust and congregation, and at Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Eucharist, organised by the congregation.

A cheque was presented by Rev. Joe Roulston, Priest-in-Charge, and Ian Gardner, Director of Rosslyn Chapel Trust to Janice Burns, Midlothian Foodbank Manager, and Ellen Kilpatrick at Rosslyn Chapel.

Janice Burns said ‘I am extremely grateful to the congregation and visitors to the Chapel who have contributed through these collections. This money will make a real difference here in Midlothian.’ Further information about Midlothian Foodbank can be found at their website.
