A programme of beautiful music ranging from 16^th century Tallis, 18th century Mozart, and into the 20^th century with composers such as Elgar and Britten.

‘Excelsior per cantum’ is the University ‘a cappella’ choir that performs music from all corners of the globe from the 14^th century right through to music being written now.

Excelsior per cantum perform annually at Rosslyn Chapel, as well as in St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh; at the Edinburgh Universities Remembrance Service at the Playfair Library; and at many other internal University events and further afield.
