Chapel gives bags of support to Friends of Roslin Glen

Rosslyn Chapel Trust has presented the proceeds from sales of bags in its shop to local environmental group, the Friends of Roslin Glen.

New legislation introduced in October 2014 means that single-use bags have a charge of 5p. Between 1 November 2014 and 29 February 2016, the Chapel’s shop sold 5,524 bags and so a cheque for £276.20 was presented by Jennifer Forrester, Visitor Services Assistant and Ian Gardner, Director, to representatives of the Friends of Roslin Glen in the Chapel’s visitor centre.

Rosslyn Chapel sits on the fringe of Roslin Glen, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Friends of Roslin Glen is a voluntary community group dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of the Glen. More information about their work is available through this link.
