The Chapel’s Junior Tour Guides have hosted two special evening visits, for parents, families and friends, to complete their year.
The Junior Tour Guides (JTG) programme is a key aspect of the Chapel’s Learning and Outreach work. It has been running from August to January each year for the past 14 years. It sees children in P7 at Roslin Primary School take on the roles of characters – or carvings – connected to the Chapel and then host visits from other local schools, when they give dramatic performances, sharing the Chapel’s history and stories. In 2023, there were eight school visits for the JTG programme, comprising 240 pupil visits, and the performances were also enjoyed by members of Roslin Heritage Society.
