This year, 2014, has been designated as the second ‘Year of Homecoming’ with an extra emphasis on promoting Scotland around the world and providing a warm welcome to visitors. In preparation, Rosslyn Chapel has extended its range of ‘welcome’ leaflets to include new translations in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Polish. The leaflets are available free of charge to visitors on arrival and include a handy map showing the key carvings inside and outside the Chapel.
Ian Gardner, Director of Rosslyn Chapel Trust, said: ‘With the Year of Homecoming and major events taking place, such as the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup, this should be a particularly busy year across Scotland. We hope that these new free welcome leaflets will help our overseas visitors to enjoy their visit more and get a better understanding of the rich history of Rosslyn Chapel.’
